Samsung Gaming Hub controller

Samsung will present the Samsung Gaming Hub controller at CES 2024

Since its debut in 2022, Korean tech giant Samsung Gaming has been positioning it as a solid alternative for gamers looking to replace their consoles with a smart TV app. Samsung now plans to roll out an official gaming controller to pair with the Samsung Gaming Hub, the company announced in a press release ahead of CES 2024 this week.

The $50 controller, reminiscent of an Xbox Series X or Series S controller, will launch later this year. According to the press release, it offers up to 40 hours of playback per charge, low-latency Bluetooth wireless with a range of 30 feet, and a home button for easy launching of the Samsung Gaming Hub . It will be colored “Replay Midnight Blue” and feature the words “Designed for Samsung Gaming Hub” on the back.

This controller from PDP, which makes gaming headsets, controllers and other accessories for Xbox, PS5 and Switch, is the first in the Designed for Samsung Gaming Hub program, an initiative to roll out more gaming accessories compatible with the best Samsung TVs. Samsung says the Made for Samsung Gaming Hub badge will ensure that products have been tested for quality, compatibility and security and will "ensure the best possible game streaming experience on Samsung Gaming Hub."
